Our experience of using the Heritage Centre was very positive. The venue organiser was extremely helpful, everything we needed was provided and the event went very smoothly as a result.

Unique Venue

The Royal Dockyard Chapel was built in the 1830s, and completed in 1835. Over the years it has served many purposes, and is now a Grade II* listed building and houses the collections of the Sunderland Trust as Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre. The displays tell the story of Pembroke Dockyard, the military presence in the area and of the flying boats once stationed here, and of Short Sunderland T9044 which sank in a storm in 1940. Access to the displays will be included as part of any venue hire package.

All of our indoor spaces are comfortable, well-lit and centrally heated, and include free Wi-Fi.  We can also offer equipment such as projectors and screens, included in our price. Please get in touch for further details.

If you wish to use the grounds out of hours (e.g. evenings, on a Sunday or during a seasonal closure), a fee for unlocking will be charged.

Exclusive use

Whether as a backdrop for filming or photography, or for your own private event, please get in touch if you would like to discuss using the grounds and buildings exclusively.
