Communities can claim to be unique, the town of Pembroke Dock can justify that claim on several counts. This is a town where some 260 ships were built for the Royal Navy during the 112 years that the shipyard was active. The town was created from 1814 around that dockyard. This book reflects upon the changing face of the dockyard. It starts around the turn of the last century when Pembroke Dock was at its zenith and spans the years up to 2000.
