This is the story of a twenty one year old plucked out of civilian life and trained to participate in a war which at the time was centred on the other side of the globe. There is of course the serious side to it, but aided by leave and off duty periods, there were many lighter moments including time stationed at Pembroke Dock. All of these times are recorded in this story – “just as it happened”.
