On 31st March 1930, Pembroke Dock’s former Royal Dockyard was transferred from the Admiralty to the Air Ministry. Here began the three decades of RAF Pembroke Dock. This small town became the largest Flying Boat station in the world and at one point during the Second World War it was host to 99 aircraft.

This book is a photographic history reflecting the wartime and post-war life of this remarkable town and its air station. It features photographs from the collection of the author, aviation historian John Evans.
