“I thoroughly applaud the activities of the Trust in seeking to keep the rich history of Pembroke Dockyard alive. I appreciated all their help in the preparation of my book Erebus– The Story of a Ship, and I hope, like me, you’ll give this local treasure all the support they need.”

Why do we need your support?

Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre is operated by Pembroke Dock Heritage Trust, which is a registered charity, number 1120476.  The Trust doesn’t currently receive any core funding, beyond a small but essential contribution by Pembroke Dock Town Council.  The remainder of our operational costs are covered through money generated by admissions plus a small amount from the Gift Shop and Coffee Shop, as well as charitable donations.

How can your support help?

Like any business, the Trust has a large number of core costs.  As a museum we also incur costs in looking after our historic collections, in conservation, documentation and storage, as well as cost involved in organising displays and exhibitions.

By supporting the Trust you will be directly making a positive impact on the following:

  • Preserving the internationally significant heritage of Pembroke Dock
  • Contributing to the social and economic regeneration in this area
  • Providing skills, experience and other opportunities to our team of 80+ volunteers
  • Contributing to the local tourism economy
  • Providing a venue for cultural school visits
  • Working in partnership with a range of other organisations and individuals throughout the county and beyond
  • Contributing to the health and wellbeing agenda in the area through volunteering opportunities, group visits, talks and other opportunities
